Today is Feb. 14, 2006, it's Valentine's day, hehe....all kinds of red, pink gift and flowers everywhere....Rob leaves for work at 6:45a.m., so by the time he left, I am still in my dream, but when I woke up at 7:30, I saw a dozen of roses and a nice card on the table, it surprized me, because when I were in China, Rob used to buy flowers online and deliver to my office all the time, but I always blame him that it's too much money......, so since then, we usually will go out to eat instead or buy something practical...hehe...but I am very happy to receive the flowers.......Also he told me he booked a table for both of us to have candle light dinner at Venus Restaurant, ....hehe....sweet...

 

I bought him some valentine's cookies, has "be mine, love"words on the cookie, hehe...also i bought his favorite Apple Pie, I put them in his van after my class last night...hehe...he was happy....but I forgot to buy him a card, then I have to make a simple one myself....

Last weekend, we had a heavy snow storm in New England, about 19 inches snow fell, snow didnot started till Saturday night, I decided to stay home cook some nice food, plus Saturday is  Chinese Lantern Festival, our traditional is have Rice Ball on that day and also Dumplings at night, I havenot make any dumplings for a while, since it always takes me a long time to make, I like to make my own wrappers, Rob doesnot know how to do it, he only knows how to wrap wontons...hehe...but the weather is cold, I think that's the perfect time to make....we went to ride bike for an hour, and got home at 3:00p.m., then I started my project, not bad, took me two hours to make about 80 dumplings...Rob's mother came to visit too, she enjoyed that too....hehe...see the pictures below...

 

 

 

最近特别想吃面食额，吃完馒头想吃包子，以前从来没有做过额，于是上个周五早上７点半起来赶在上班之前把面发上，晚上下班回家就动手，第一次包，包的样子不太好，不过味道很好阿，象国内的新亚大包，我包的是牛肉白菜的，好吃，一口气吃了四个，汗，又要长肉肉了,

星期六早上起来熬的花生，绿豆粥，由于是一时兴起，所以花生和绿豆都没有提前泡，不过熬出来的粥很好阿，好香的，又吃了两大WAN

 

下面的是上锅以前的，用的是unbleached的面粉，所以不是很白，不过味道不错的
